A few tips how to pick up your vanity unit 2025

Choosing a vanity unit is a significant decision.

Most likely, you will be stuck with your vanity for a few years if not decades, so choose wisely!

First, determine the size of the vanity unit. Take a measuring tape and physically check your space. Ensure you are aware of the maximum size of the vanity unit or storage unit. Width is not the only thing to check; you also have to check the maximum depth allowed in your bathroom.

We had customers who tried to fit a large vanity unit in a corner of their bathroom. It was impossible to open the drawers. Another lady couldn’t open her drawers because a radiator was installed 20cm from her vanity.

Simple problems like that can be avoided with careful planning. Additionally, we primarily sell suspended bathroom furniture, so if you have unsightly pipes protruding from your floor, you may encounter an issue.

Are you planning to install your vanity close to the bathroom door? Check if you can open the door.

Also, avoid ordering a unit that is too small; we have had customers swap 40cm units for 60cm ones.

Second, who will use the bathroom? Teenagers or small children? An elderly person may have different needs from young adults. If you have many family members, you may want to consider units with two sinks, for example, this one.

Third, decide whether you prefer a modern or traditional look for your bathroom.

One of our modern lines is Focus, our most popular and versatile product line.

Any colour preference? Picking the right colour will make or break your design.

I would avoid bright colours, but many people opt for a red vanity unit from the Focus Red line. It is a matter of personal choice.

Floor-standing lines;

we only have Cortez, Finea, and New York. With floor-standing units, you don’t have to worry if your wall is strong enough to support the vanity unit’s weight.

Storage:

Do you need a storage unit? If yes, where will you fit it? If you don’t have space, consider buying a vanity unit with deep drawers, such as this one.

Finally, please note that not all vanity units with worktops are pre-cut.

Worktops are plain with no holes in them; a customer may cut the holes to their specification. It allows you to place the tap or the sink in a position of your choice.

You may modify your desired unit in the following ways:

  • Change colour
  • Modify handles, or no handles at all
  • You may use your sink in certain vanities

We hope that choosing your vanity with our little guide is a bit easier now.
